TEAM COMPOSITION

For the 2020-2021 Season, we will be offering 12u-18u teams. There are three possible levels of play at each age group. National, American, and Regional level teams will be considered at our club. If after tryouts the director and coaching staff does not feel that there is adequate talent to support a given level of team, that level will not be offered. All American and National teams will receive on site speed and agility training with our staff trainer.

The DIVISION that these teams register as (National, American or Regional) within the OVR is different for each age group and will, ultimately, be dependent on the TALENT of players in that age group and the positional depth within that age group.

2020-2021 USA VOLLEYBALL GIRLS' JUNIORS' AGE DEFINITIONS

Players can determine their AGE GROUP ELIGIBILITY using either their BIRTHDATE (including year) or their GRADE IN SCHOOL. Players wishing to play on a NATIONAL DIVISION team MUST use their BIRTHDATE to determine which age group they are eligible for. Players wishing to play on AMERICAN or REGIONAL DIVISION teams can use either their birthdate or simply their grade in school to determine their age group.

Players who are OLDER than many of their classmates in school may be considered a "grade level" player who can play with their classmates on an American or Regional team, but who would have to play "up" in the age group determined by their birthdate/year in order to play on a National team. Players who are YOUNGER than most of their classmates in school may be able to play in a younger age group based on their BIRTHDATE - an age group that is actually "younger" than the one determined by their GRADE in school. These younger players are NOT considered "grade level" players, they are simply players who can play in a younger age group because their birthdate/year allows them to do so; however, they are not REQUIRED to play in the younger age group and can play in the age group determined by their grade, with their classmate peers.

PLEASE NOTE: When you are trying to determine your age group, PLEASE DO NOT simply find the player's CURRENT AGE (or age at the time of tryouts), but rather her BIRTHDATE/YEAR and/or GRADE in school

THIS TABLE HAS BEEN UPDATED FOR THE UPCOMING 2020-21 CLUB SEASON

*These players MUST ALSO be in the 12th grade or below during current school year.
